Manx educational charity Mooinjer Veggey is pleased to announce a new Carers and Tots group has started in Ramsey ‘Possan Cloie-Rhumsaa’. This group runs in addition to two other Possan Cloie groups which take place in St Johns and Castletown.
The aim of Possan Cloie is to provide a relaxed place for parents/carers/guardians and little ones to play and learn and practice a little bit of Manx through games and songs.

The new group is proving very popular and meets on Mondays from 9.30am to 11.30am during the school term at the Elim Church, a warm, well fitted and ideal location for a play group.
Each session includes some time spent on learning a bit of Manx through songs from the Roie Mygeayrt App which is available to listen to on: https://soundcloud.com/culture-vannin/sets/roie-mygeayrt
Board Member of Mooinjer Veggey, Paul Salmon, who lives in Ramsey and who is helping with the new group, said: “Everyone is welcome, whether you come along specifically because of the Manx or not. We hope carers and their children will have fun and enjoy being part of the group. Possan Cloie Rhumsaa links in nicely with the other Manx language activities for both school children and adults in Ramsey and round the North of the Island”.

A different art and craft activity is offered each week at all Possan Cloie groups, occasionally based on Manx seasonal customs such as the Mheillea and Hop Tu Naa or events such as Tynwald Day. As Mooinjer Veggey is a registered charity (no. 793) there is a suggested weekly donation of £2 per family to cover the cost of drinks, snacks and craft materials.

The leaders of the Possan Cloie Rhumsaa are mums Alicia and Emily. Should you wish to enquire about attending one of their sessions, please contact admin@mooinjerveggey.org.im. The group use the Possan Cloie Facebook page for local updates and news.
Mooinjer Veggey is grateful for the support of the Manx Lottery Trust who provide invaluable help towards all of our Possan Cloie groups and to Culture Vannin for support to the St Johns group. Mooinjer Veggey give special thanks to all of the group leaders for their time and enthusiasm towards running Possan Cloie.
