Get ready to light up Peel! On Saturday 14 November, families are invited to a free willow lantern-making workshop at Peel Masonic Hall, ahead of the Festive Manx Day Out later this month.
Drop in any time between 10am and 4pm to make your own lantern, ready to carry in the parade on Saturday 28 November. Materials will be provided, and Culture Vannin helpers will be on hand to introduce some festive Manx words to decorate your creations.
All you need to bring is an apron and some battery-operated fairy lights. Children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
The workshop is free, with no booking required, and runs while materials last.
The finished lanterns will have their moment to shine when the parade leaves Peel Cathedral at 4.30pm on Saturday 28 November, heading towards Market Square for the Christmas lights switch-on.
