Mooinjer Veggey is run by people who have a passion for the Manx language and its greater use. We are committed to promoting and supporting children and families who wish to learn and use Manx. Volunteer with us!
Whether it’s baking cakes or helping to sort through preloved clothes, we are always grateful for an extra pair of hands to help at our fundraising events. A few of our recurring events include our annual Tynwald Day Cake Sale, Cafe Mooinjer Veggey at the Cooish in November and our Willow Wreath Workshops in December. You can keep an eye out for other fundraising events we hold by following us on our social media pages.
If helping out behind-the-scenes is more your thing, then we currently have three vacancies on our committee. We would love to hear from you if you have experience in teaching languages, are engaged in creative industries or have a background in finance or charity management. We are also looking for people who enjoy fundraising either through the corporate sector or through grassroots events.
Volunteer at a Possan Cloie Carers and Tots group! Mooinjer Veggey now has three Possan Cloie groups at Ramsey and St John’s on Monday and Castletown on Fridays. These groups are really important in attracting young families to engage with the language. The existing groups need additional support or sponsorship with the running costs. Help from Manx speakers at the St Johns group would be particularly appreciated.

Fundraise on behalf of Mooinjer Veggey
